Phil is an operating partner with specific responsibility for our investments in Avonside Energy and HTSL, as Chairman and NED respectively.
Having initially joined Rcapital as a Partner in 2015, following a long and successful career at KPMG and BDO, Phil was responsible for portfolio management until his move into an operating partner role in August 2026. In Phil’s time at Rcapital he led our investments in over 60 businesses and was responsible for a number of our landmark exits including Cluttons, Archant and STI.
Following his retirement as Partner, Phil remains an important member of the Rcapital team and an investor in the Flight & Partners Recovery Fund.
