Rcapital is proud to have won a top industry award at last night’s Insolvency & Rescue Awards. In recognition for its work to rescue and revive businesses, Rcapital was named Business Rescue Financier of the Year 2014.
The annual awards honour achievement and professional excellence in the business turnaround sector. Entries in the Business Rescue Financier of the Year award were invited to demonstrate how they had both shown innovation within the corporate recovery market and contributed to the cause of the rescue process.
With over 40 deals completed in 10 years, 2013 was a particularly strong year for Rcapital. The judges were impressed with Rcapital’s turnaround of geotechnical instrumentation company itmsoil, where Rcapital worked with key stakeholders to rescue a business which was on the brink of closure. The rescue of this business highlighted Rcapital’s unique skill set and awareness that a turnaround is not just financial but operational, requiring the ability to quickly understand the issues and deal with them immediately.
The Business Rescue Financier of the Year 2014 award also recognised Rcapital for its ability to come up with creative solutions to complex turnarounds, evidenced by its rescue of the travel retailer Rolling Luggage in 2013.This long and often difficult turnaround demonstrated Rcapital’s tenacity and deep restructuring expertise.
