Alan Tait

Operating Partner - HR

The wrap around support that Rcapital provides to its portfolio, along with the pace that it operates at, are what set it apart from the crowd.

Alan is responsible for the HR strategy at Rcapital and several of its portfolio companies.

Before establishing his freelance consultancy, Alan spent 20 years working in large corporations such as Pernod Ricard, Balfour Beatty, and Vodafone. He provides commercial, proactive, and pragmatic HR strategy and advice, helping businesses transform their performance by:

  • Coaching leadership teams
  • Leading and implementing large-scale change programmes in both unionised and non-unionised environments
  • Designing and implementing employee engagement initiatives
  • Managing HR projects
  • Designing and delivering leadership training
  • Analysing employee relations issues and developing change plans
  • Succession planning
  • Talent management
  • Recruitment and retention initiatives

Alan has experience across the full spectrum of HR and has worked in various industry sectors, including gaining international experience with Senergy (now Vysus). He has successfully delivered large-scale change projects, ensuring that all aspects of HR and communication were meticulously planned and executed to minimise disruption for all stakeholders.

Outside of work, Alan is an avid hill and marathon runner.
