Undergrate Air Heaters contract with at Australian Sugar Mill
Heat Exchange Group company, Greens Power, has successfully won a new project with Mckay Sugar, part of Norducker Group, in Queensland, Australia. Greens has established a strong relationship with the Group, supplying economisers an airheaters to Racecourse Mill and Farleigh Mill.
The project has been commissioned to redesign and supply two Undergate Air Heaters (UGAH) which were supplied in 2012 by a local provider but suffered from tube leaks and fouling due to ingress of bagasse fibres. The Greens team were able to leverage the reputation they had built for quality for the wider Group, and offered a solution that minimised outage thanks to a condensed delivery programme.
“This is an exciting project and testament to the quality of the reputation Greens has built through offering smart solutions, quality products, skilled installation and excellent after care. This was a highly competitive process – entirely up against Australian competitors but in August we were very proud to be awarded the contract valued at nearly £300,000.” Matthew Crewe, Managing Director, Heat Exchange Group.
Production is well underway at the factory located in Wakefiled, Yorkshire for Christmas completion. The two UGAHs will be dispatched before the end of the year to reach Queensland in time for the outage scheduled for March.
