Rcapital welcomed 60 senior representatives from its investee companies to its second Portfolio Day on 12th November.
Held at Sopwell House in Hertfordshire, the event offered both formal and informal opportunities for the Rcapital team and portfolio company delegates to get to know each other better and share ideas on best practice.
While the Rcapital portfolio of companies crosses diverse sectors, from energy to advertising and financial services, all the businesses share the same commitment to excellence in their respective field. Gathering the companies together in this way offered the chance for deeper links to be forged between the businesses with each portfolio company provided with the chance to present to other attendees. A portfolio company colleague at the event observed
“the key return on the Rcapital investment in the Sopwell House day was the sense of purpose the delegates picked up, which will be taken back to their businesses.”
Former Formula One Racing driver, Martin Donnelly, entertained and inspired attendees by sharing his experience of living life in the fast lane.
On joining the firm earlier in 2015, COO Phil Emmerson viewed the organisation of a Portfolio Day as a priority, confirming Rcapital’s long-term commitment to supporting its network of investee companies. The team at Rcapital greatly valued the opportunity to meet with so many of its colleagues and is looking forward to incorporating ideas gained from the day into new ways of growing the portfolio.
