His role typically spans the full investment cycle from initial financial due diligence, formulation of business turnaround strategy, budget setting, reporting system development, implementation of operational and financial improvements and eventually business sale/ exit.
Prior to becoming an independent financial consultant, Max spent the first eighteen years of his career at PwC training as a chartered accountant and undertaking a variety of roles in Audit, Transactions Services, Forensics and Restructuring before moving into industry to become a Finance and Commercial director. In 2010 Max completed a 1.5 year secondment to RBS’s Global Restructuring Group working through numerous stressed lends following the 2008 Lehman collapse.
Max adopts a strong commercial, analytical and pragmatic approach to all his roles and has experience of working with businesses of varying sizes accross a range of sectors from owner managed to PE backed. He has extensive experience of supporting teams navigating through change and specialises delivering working capital improvements.
