Rcapital backs Edinburgh based refrigeration specialist

Growth investor Rcapital has backed an MBO and made significant working capital funding available to Edinburgh based Capital Cooling to allow the business to grow its core business throughout 2018.

The former family owned business which now employs around 60 members of staff in the UK was acquired in the run up to Christmas.

Capital Cooling is a respected brand in the supply and installation of refrigeration cabinets, to a wide customer base, including blue chip companies. Rcapital’s investment has enabled incumbent CEO James Anderson to progress plans to further develop the business and take advantage of significant market opportunities.

James Anderson commented, “We are extremely pleased to have successfully completed a significant financial investment in our business which will allow us to pursue our ambitious growth strategy. I am looking forward to working with Rcapital to create further value in the business.”

Rcapital was introduced to the business by KPMG, with support on the transaction received from legal advisors Pinsent Masons.
