Professional development workshops launched for portfolio company Management teams

Rcapital always seeks to work with portfolio companies to achieve their goals. Our approach is collaborative, we listen to management teams and ask them about their goals and the type of support they would find most valuable from their investor – from this feedback we have created a programme of formal and informal events.

We commit to providing opportunities for our management teams from our portfolio to share experiences, build relationships and source work opportunities. Most recently we added a technical workshop series to our portfolio programme, following feedback we received during the Rcapital Portfolio national conference in May 2019.

These subject-matter focused events provide an opportunity for like-minded businesses from a diverse range of industries and geographies, to gain an insight into board-level issues; such as leadership, communication for change, IT investment and cyber security from industry thought leaders.

Portfolio companies host these workshops, which allows for greater sharing and understanding of the wider Rcapital community. The first workshop in October 2019, led by former CEO of Cash Generator and Why Leadership Founder, Graeme McKinnon was on Executive Leadership. Most recently management teams were hosted by Communications expert, David Josephs on how to best use communication as a tool to effect change.
